LLM
Large Language Model — AI systems like GPT-4, Claude, and Gemini that power conversational AI assistants.
A Large Language Model (LLM) is an AI system trained on vast amounts of text data to understand and generate human-like language. Popular LLMs include OpenAI's GPT-4, Anthropic's Claude, Google's Gemini, and Meta's LLaMA.
LLMs power the AI assistants that are increasingly replacing traditional search:
- ChatGPT (OpenAI)
- Claude (Anthropic)
- Gemini (Google)
- Perplexity AI
- Microsoft Copilot
For brands, LLMs are important because they form opinions about products and services based on their training data. If your brand isn't well-represented in that data, LLMs won't recommend you.
Different LLMs may have different "opinions" about your brand based on their training data and knowledge cutoff dates.
